It is time for change on the blog! “Why?”, you might ask. Well the simple,
short answer would be “because change is good”. The real reason, however, is
that for the past few months I see that the number of people visiting the blog, and the number
of pageviews, is increasing. This is great of course, because that probably means
that you like the blog :).

Because I really like new people to continue visiting, and to come back ever so
often I wanted to introduce some new features to the blog that you hopefully
will enjoy. Of course, I also have a slightly more self-centered reason for
doing so. The first, and foremost, being that I really enjoy it when people
leave comments and read my posts. This inspires me to keep putting my best
efforts in both painting and adding new content :).
Secondly, I enjoy writing so much I would like to do it more often. But, because I am
a slightly disorganized person, it would be nice for me to introduce some
regularity in my posts.

So I am writing this post today to let you know of some
small changes that I will make to the blog. Basically, it is more of a
structural thing, to give both you (the reader whom I love to please) and myself
things to plan and look forward to. I am just sharing this with you because
that will give myself a little push to stick to it ;).

What will not change?
I definitely intend to keep posting reviews and tutorials,
as I have seen over the past period that people really appreciate them, and I
also enjoy writing it. The monthly favourites will always be there as I enjoy
looking back myself too, and so are event reports. I will also keep posting WIP
(work in progress) pieces, but not as often anymore. I want to do a bi-weekly
update of my workspace instead, if there is anything to show of course. In that
update I will tell you about the projects I am working on to keep you updated
and keep myself motivated. Because showing minis in different stages of
completement usually just involves posting pictures, I will from now on keep
that mostly restricted to an album on my facebook page.

What will change?
As I said before, I will add a bi-weekly update of my
workbench to the site. The next thing that I want to add is a regular blogpost
in the form of a column in which I will just ramble about some things that I
want to discuss in regards of miniature painting. No wonder, this section will
be called “ramblings”, as I do like that word and perhaps its a little
foresight into my incoherent writing sometimes. Then, I plan on having at least
two reviews every month.

The year project
And the last thing, which I am actually quite excited about
myself, is the introduction of “the year project“. The year project is a project
that I will work on during a whole year (duh!), which I plan to keep you
updated on every step of the way. There will be step-by-steps, colour recipes,
progress pics, drawings and many other things. This will of course be a larger
piece that I am very excited about! I already have an idea in mind, which I
will start sharing right after SMC (oktober).

So in the end it will look like this every month: About 2 or
3 workbench updates, 2 reviews, 1 or 2 “ramblings”, favorites of the month,
hopefully a tutorial or step-by-step and progress on the year project. And then
the occasional event report and whatever else I feel like posting.

Well I hope this also gives you something to look forward
to, at least for me it gives a little structure. Hope to see you soon 🙂
