Hi everyone,
Today I want to share two pieces that are currently on my workbench. I’m painting them purely for fun, which of course is the most important thing. Whenever I feel the urge to work on either one of them I do, slowly taking them to the finish line. But there is still a lot of work to be done.
Luz is a 30mm figure from Nocturna Models
The Sunstalker Dancer is a 35mm miniature from Kingdom Death
Hope you like them so far! Very open to suggestions if you have any 🙂

I’m not qualified to offer you advice, but could you please let us know which paints you used for the Sunstalker Dancer’s skin? It came out gorgeous! That golden tone with that almost damp looking sheen is something I’ve never been able to achieve. Of coarse, I’ve also never tried painting a mini with so little clothes. I have a couple waiting for paint though. Gotta try to improve my skin game.
Thank you Coralline,
Apologies for the late reply, I did not receive a notification that your message was here.
The paints I have used for the Sunstalker Dancer are:
Sketching in the basetone, highlights and shadows – Reaper Golden Skintone triad
Shadows: Bronzed skin reaper, Chestnut Brown reaper, Hull red vallejo, Oxford Blue vallejo
Highlights: Pale sand vallejo
Glazes: light orange vallejo
I had the painting of the skin recorded, you can find it on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OQt4WYTnNc&t=3929s
The Reaper paint triads for skin work very well for me, making the blending much easier. Also, they come with a base colour, a highlight and a shadow colour. They may be a great set to get started :),
